Coalition viewpoint...Critics of farm water continue to point to south-of-Delta exports as the major cause for the recent drop in salmon numbers. They refuse to acknowledge that the latest scientific reports from federal agencies place the greater blame on ocean conditions that deplete food supplies for salmon. In addition, upstream wastewater dischargers, such as the City of Sacramento, have for years placed high amounts of ammonium into the Sacramento River that endangers the Delta environment.
