What if the worst drought hit California today?

Coalition response...The scenario presented by the UC Davis professors is an interesting read regarding a “simulated extreme drought” that comes along once in many hundreds of years. This prolonged drought fails to fill many reservoirs, according to the computer model, casting a doubt on the need to build new storage facilities. But the question must be asked...what about the hundreds of years in between the drought? The current water year clearly points to the need for additional storage. California cannot afford to discount this serious need for more storage because of a computer model of a drought that MAY happen hundreds of years into the future.
