Coalition response...This editorial is correct in identifying the need for California’s policy-makers to step forward and make the necessary decisions that will safeguard our state’s water future. Those actions must include an increase in storage that can capture a portion of water for use in drought years, especially in times like this when excess water is flowing freely to the ocean. It is a certainty that we will be hit with another drought. How we plan for it will determine how we survive it.
