Water trumps rail

Editorial

From Riverside Press-Enterprise – Monday, Aug. 22, 2011

Coalition response...This editorial does a good job in describing the importance of an improved water delivery system through the Delta to the people of California and the need to place the highest priority to this effort. It is not just the millions of acres of farmland that will receive an improved water supply reliability and the food and jobs resulting from that water, it is also the more than 25 million Californians that rely upon it for their drinking supplies. There is no doubt that the benefits will touch every resident of California by a wise investment in repairing the State’s broken water system.
