Story

from Redding Record-Searchlight – Friday, Sept. 3, 2010

Sites Project JPA Formed
Friday, 27 August 2010
Willows, CA - August 27, 2010 - Yesterday, seven entities executed the Sites Project Joint Powers Authority agreement at a signing ceremony held at the Glenn County Board of Supervisors' Chambers in Willows.

This regional consortium of local water agencies and Counties united to create a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) to pursue the development and construction of the Sites Reservoir Project. Sites has long been viewed as an ideal location for additional offstream storage to provide direct and real benefits to instream flows, the Delta ecosystem, and water supply.
