Reps, residents and ranchers worry about water exporters control over Delta plan

Coalition response...Water exporters have already spent $140 million in developing the BDCP and they are being asked for another hundred million. To blindly go forward and keep writing checks without some kind of assurance that their expenditure won't lead to reduced water supply or reliability is unreasonable. Opponents to water flowing through the Delta to 25 million Californians and the growing of a safe and reliable food supply have a long record of just saying "no." These same opponents are not providing the required funding to complete the BDCP. To give these opponents carte blanche control of California's future water supply is to all but guarantee that California and its citizens have less water in the future.
